How I met my wife... Miki Miki weds Katherine Bamnjoh this Saturday

He who finds a wife finds a treasure and he receives favor from the lord

As beautiful as it may sound... we met for the first time on a flight to Luxembourg in 2006. I had a huge crush on her for years and oh! My gosh she was damn gorgeous and i was afraid to even talk to her. I Can't ever explain the sublime beauty i was seeing seating next to me. She was younger then, attractive, charming, well dressed, sweet and a jovial lady.
In fact, as courageous as I am, it took me sometime to come up with a conversation. I introduced myself to her and it turns out we were heading to the same location and had previously had a business conversation on the phone at some point but had no clue at the time.

A few days after, I realized she was the same person. She was in Luxembourg to actually get a location to open a fashion hair saloon and Luxembourg was my base. So being a pretty single English speaking Cameroonian from the North West, I had to help her carry out the feasibility studies for her project.
We became very good friends and our friendship kept on growing as we shared a lot in common. Unfortunately for some reasons she couldn't open her shop in Lux & had to move back to Germany.
So things became tough for me as the only means of communicating was by phone. We both had very busy schedules, with her shop opened in Germany and all. I did not give up.Then came 2012 after 7yrs of loyal friendship and ups and downs with our previous relationships. All of a sudden, the communication lines opened up we started talking more often.
We decided to take it to another level due to the fact that my feelings for her kept growing and she finally accepted I should visit her in Germany after several attempts.
Visiting her gave me the opportunity to discover the house wife potentials she's got. She is a good cook, I mean fantastic and a respectable woman. I could not waste any more time...So 2013 was our year!!! I PROPOSED AND SHE ACCEPTED.
Met with her family in EU for the introduction. She then moved to Lux . In fact things went so fast. In 2014 we planned the knock door which was done in Banso Jan 2015.
  • We will be having a white wedding this Saturday in Yaounde, Cameroon on the Dec 19th, 2015.

An actor's actor whose acting skills make us feel acting is such an easy task

Eko un-ltd uncommon common man and the men of taste best actor nominee talks about life, work, sex and acting. You may not know Eko Un-ltd as an actor, but I will tell you that he is an actor's actor whose acting skills make us feel acting is such an easy task. Whether, he's playing a house help, playboy, criminal, captain, lover with a breaking or heartbreaker. Eko Un-Lted roles are unforgettable whether in Swap 2015, NDOLO and the Senator 2015,Gambler 2013, Mad max 2013, he still makes a hit. Not bad for some one who just left acting school few years ago between UB and New York film academy.

Who is Eko Un-ltd?

I am a kid from likomba, tiko.  I grew up in the eyes of the streets. I was active, playful funny and oh!, the people in my hood loved me for that. I always like to impersonate. At home I will pretend to have a fit or change my speech just as a form of acting and disguise. It was loved by my family and I was encouraged to put an effort into my acting skills. When I got to the university it was easy for me get involved in the theatre Trooper

Do u wanna tell me about that journey?

It's being a long one. There have been lots of struggles. My family always knew I loved acting but they never gave me full support till few years back. I did theatre arts in UB as a minor. It opened lots of doors for me. I did stage plays and a few acting roles. By then the Cameroon film industry was not this busy as it is today. I was fortunate to come to the states. A year later, I went to the NEW YORK FILM ACADEMY in California. It was nothing but amazing. I learnt from the best and got exposures i never thought of.  So since graduated from the Film school it has been a more interesting journey. My craft and acting is more appreciated now than before. And my family now awaits my movies anxiously.

What's your first memory of being on stage and encouraged?

I remember it was a play by Achebe and i played the role of an elder. I remember people clapping when I said my lines and did some actions. Boy oh boy I loved the feeling! This was my first year in the university of Buea. My teacher Dr. Acheri kilo encouraged me to learn acting so I put in some more effort on my stage plays until I graduated from the university.

Is there an African/West... Actor who has influenced you?If yes... What was the movie, can you recall?

Ramsey Noah. He is the one I easily identified my self with. The way he spoke in his movies and how he became a household name caught my attention and also people started calling him names like Mr. lover, Casanova. There is one particular movie of his that I watched. I remember so many years back when I was in form 3, I went home for my allowance and on my way back i decided to stop by a video club were i watched a movie by Ramsey Noah. Which was what i did often, on like my friends who spend their time playing sports. In this movie whose title I can't really remember. Ramsey found a lady's purse and took it to her, with money in it he could have use to buy medication for his sick mother. N behold that happened to me that same moment. The was a guy sitting in front of me at the movie hall, who dropped his wallet n in it was money more than what I needed for my fair to buea but I looked for this guy n gave him his wallet n he rewarded me with what I needed even without asking him. This was the striking incident that made me consider Ramsey Noah my inspiration

Are there any roles you've turned down that you regret?

It was not like I regretted the role. But I was to play a gay guy. And behold I can do a lot on set I tell you Vallycool. But this could not settle in. Especially when the director had a scene that I had to kiss a
guy. I mean it would have being an out of character experience but then I have a grand mother who is very religious and it took a lot from her to let me go to acting school. So yeah that role I turned down, and I don't regret it but am looking forward to more challenging roles.

Do you have any code you live by?

I believe we should do unto others only what you would have them do unto you. And we should see the good in people. It's only then that we will give people bread not stone when they ask for our help.

You've worked with Mbango Adambi, Edith Pikwa Boma. Any other titans you want to shoot with?

Oh yes those ladies are amazing. N on set they are very inspirational and very talented. Working with them brings me joy. And Mbango Adambi was actually my classmate from high school all the way to UB and we were in the theatre troupe together so I know her well n what she can do n we have a great chemistry. Edith is a house full of laughter when ever she comes around. Yeah Agbor Gilbert Ebot is a director I will like to work with. Cameroon has a lot of talented actors and actress that I would love to work with. And our industry is growing daily so I am very proud of that. Of course it will be great privilege to work with Ramsey that will be a dream come true.

If you had one thing to say to MOTS-readers, what would you say?

That Eko is his grandmother's child. He is funny, loves his friends and is very family oriented.

How hard was your role on movie Ndolo and the Senator?

It was a challenging role because I was in a transitional point in my life and the role demanded a lot of patience and an upbeat personality. But luckily I had Gordon Che the director and nick the dop. They were amazing people to work with and they made it look so easy on camera but I put In the work.

Did you actually kiss the beautiful sexy Bel?

Hahahaha. Mayb mayb not. You will have to watch the movie n see.

How did it feel to be kissing and laying in-between her legs in front of the camera?

Vallycool u go kill me. Ehm well Hahhaha I don't kiss n tell but she is a amazing actress very professional it was my pleasure to be on set with her.

Bellarose la fleur, a model, actress fashionista

Apart of Ndolo and the Senator that I know of, what other movie have acted in?

Yes I have a movie coming up SWAP I will give the fans a snick preview once production raps. I did a lot in California. Including THE NEIGHBOUR I was a serial killer. Hahhaha. Very interesting.

Who is your favorite female actress?

I have being fortunate to act with some amazing actresses of all races both in Cameroon and the United States.  So it will be a long list. But people like Kelly AZah, Adambi Mbango, Edith Pikwa, Genevieve Nanji, Omotola. They defiantly/definitely stand out. And a host of western actress too.

Describe your most embarrassing moment?

Oh! boy, Vallycool imagine your mother walking into your room and find you having sex . Brother never ever been so embarrassed, I had a hard time to get myself together. I  could not look at my mom face for over 2 months. You will be paralyzed if I told u how old I was.

Which is the place in the world that you would want visit if u had the chance?

I am a lover of football, with Manchester United is my favourite club since 1999. If I could visit old  Trafford n watch a game oh! Yeah that would be something amazing. N am planning on it too.

If you would have had a super power, what would it be?

Invisible man. I would love to be in more than one place at a time without being noticed.

If you could be given another talent or ability, what would you want it to be?

A therapist. I like talking to people. I have being told I have great advices. I always wanted to be a lawyer or an orator. I was great with debates in high school. But therapist or lawyer would be an alternative.

Anything for your fans?

I love my fans and I appreciate their input and critics. I will ask my fans to watch my new movie title Ndolo and the Senator with open mind and honest opinions and hope the appreciate the challenging roles I take  as much as I do. For without the fans the arts will not be fully appreciated. There's a lot of work to be done and I will keep them inform about my moves all the way. we all need to live laugh and love.
